Jon breaks down the 20 pieces of business advice that would have saved him X years of expensive mistakes, and he attaches every one of them to the day it actually happened to him instead of the version that fits on a slide.
For each lesson, he covers:
He ends on the difference between people who own a business and people who talk about owning one: only one of them has had to make payroll on a Friday when the money was not there.
Why this is for his audience
A home or professional services owner does not need more strategy. They need somebody to tell them which of the things going wrong in their company are normal and which ones are going to take them down. This is that list, ordered by what it cost, so they can find their own situation in it and know which one they are living through. They click because 20 years of somebody else's expensive mistakes is cheaper than making them, and they stay because Jon is talking about payroll, crews and lawsuits rather than cash flowing a laundromat he has never set foot in.
