Dan spends a full day with someone trying to buy their first business, from the first listing to a real yes or no.

How the day runs:

1.First they sit down and set the budget: how much cash he has, what he can borrow, and what that actually buys

1.Then Dan pulls up real listings and shows how he cuts them down to three

1.From there they call a broker together on speaker, and Dan shows what to ask and what the answers really mean

1.Next they open the seller's numbers, and Dan finds what is missing from them

1.Once the paperwork checks out, they drive out and see the business, where Dan reads what the numbers cannot tell you

1.After the visit he values it on camera and says what it is actually worth

1.Then they go through the contract line by line and Dan flags what he would never sign

1.Finally Dan gives the verdict

Buy it, walk away, or renegotiate, with the exact number that made the call. Ends on what the buyer does tomorrow without Dan there.
