Proof confidence: Validated, but only in its broad form. The hook and script teardown is one of the largest formats on YouTube. Narrowed to TikTok Shop it collapses. Both halves of that are in the data and the packaging decision follows from it.

I Studied 1,000 Hooks, Here's How to ACTUALLY Go Viral

How To Write A Killer Script That Keeps Viewers Hooked
Kallaway, 539,835 views, 14.3x outlier. Kallaway has built a 414,000 sub channel almost entirely on hook and script teardowns, which is the clearest possible evidence the format is durable rather than a one-off.

how i create hooks that get 1M+ views every time (just copy me)
Mino Lee, 104,932 views, 29.5x outlier. Made at 14,300 subs, so the format does not require an established channel.
Every hook video inside the TikTok Shop tracked list, with one exception, sits under 9,000 views. Brands Meet Creators has published six of them and five are sub-4,000 at under 2.5x.
Searched deliberately, because Blake flagged "what's your best CTA as a TikTok Shop affiliate" performing on Shorts. In long form there is essentially nothing. The best result in the entire research database is 1,023 views. The single CTA video in the TikTok Shop list did 253 views at 0.73x.
Not a reason to drop it, a reason to place it correctly. Shorts distribute on topical interest to a pool that already exists. Long-form browse needs the larger pool first. The hook is what gets clicked. The CTA is what nobody else delivers. Hook in the title, CTA in the back half as the payoff.
Keep TikTok Shop out of the title and all over the video. Every example, number and screen recording is TikTok Shop. Anyone who watches self-selects into the niche anyway. Benjamin Jordan already ran this experiment for us and the result is about as clean as this evidence gets.
Blake was not certain, so title option 4 is a TikTok Shop specific arm built for exactly this A/B. Run it against option 1 and let the channel answer the question with data.
Everyone who makes this video measures hooks in views. Chase is the #2 TikTok Shop affiliate, one of very few people who can measure hooks in dollars. He knows which hooks sold, not just which got watched, and he can put both numbers on screen side by side. Nobody in the proof set above can do that.
Purpose: Middle of funnel education. Chase ranks hooks by money instead of views. Sets up the mentorship by showing the skill, not describing it.
Chase ranks the 10 hooks that made him the most money on TikTok Shop. Views on one side, revenue on the other, starting with the one that did 2 million views and made almost nothing.
The hooks that go viral are usually not the hooks that sell.
For each of the 10 hooks, Chase covers:
After the 10, Chase takes apart the rest of the 30 second script and writes one live for a product he has never sold.
CTA: Chase's TikTok Shop mentorship.
Proof: heyDominik, "I Studied 1,000 Hooks, Here's How to ACTUALLY Go Viral", 676,484 views, 68.6x. Highest multiple in the set. Our version adds a curiosity gap his did not have. link
Proof: Kallaway, "Give me 15 mins, and I'll make your hooks impossible to skip", 841,105 views, 22.8x. Highest raw view count of any proof in this set. link
Proof: Kallaway, "How To Write A Killer Script That Keeps Viewers Hooked", 539,930 views, 14.3x. Script teardown rather than hooks alone, which is what the back half of this video is. link

I've sold $[X] on TikTok Shop, so I know something almost nobody teaching hooks can show you: which hooks actually made money, not just which ones got views, and they are usually not the same hooks.
I take apart the full 30 second selling script, the first 3 seconds, the middle everyone skips, and the last 3 seconds where most of the money is actually won or lost, using real videos with both numbers on screen.
At the end I write one from scratch, live, for a product I have never sold.
